95% of women undergoing radiation for breast cancer experience radiation induced dermatitis. 

A new 5 week double-blind, placebo-controlled study has found that a 2% curcumin gel significantly reduces redness and irritation. 

The curcumin gel also significantly reduced pain in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weeks.
